Description of the institution:

The Koordinierungszentrum Klinische Studien (KKS; Coordination Center for Clinical Trials) Heidelberg is a clinical trials competence center directly located at the University Hospital of Heidelberg. It provides an interdisciplinary team of 60 staff members experienced in coordination and management of clinical trials and offers professional support for all kind of clinical research with a focus on investigator initiated clinical trials. The KKS Heidelberg is experienced in the development of study design, the conduct and analysis of clinical trials from phase I to IV in accordance with national and international guidelines e.g. Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP). The KKS Heidelberg is one of the founding members of the consortium of Coordinating Centers for Clinical trials, the KKS Network, and member of the ECRIN network.
